“God Forbid!” A Study in Bible Translation Methodology. “Setting Aside ‘Deponency’: Rediscovering the Greek Middle Voice in New Testament Studies” by Jonathan T. In addition to the thematic essays there are a number of additional sections from later SBL meetings. In doing so I was able to omit a large chunk of the original essay dealing with the problem of Greek fonts and the promise of Unicode to resolve them since Unicode support has now long since matured to the point where everyone should be using Unicode for Greek text (without exception! Now R-to-L text such as Hebrew is a different story since Microsoft still hasn’t gotten their act together and made it function correctly in Word! 🙁 The Windows version of Word is better than the Mac version, but neither are perfect). That’s a bit ironic in light of the title of my essay that is included: “Adapting Technology to Teach Koine Greek”! Thankfully I was able initially to “generalize” the content for publication, and then revise it again this past spring. It includes papers from the SBL Biblical Greek Language and Linguistics section that go back to 2001. This title has certainly been a long time in coming. The Linguist as Pedagogue: Trends in the Teaching and Linguistic Analysis of the Greek New Testament. 
We are pleased on announce the publication of ‘The Linguist as Pedagogue’ and are planning to send out copies to contributors shortly…. This word just arrived in my In Box from Sheffield Phoenix Press:
